14 Firefox Tricks

Firefox is a great browser. It comes with tons features that make it comfort to use. And I want to share 14 tricks that I’ve tried it yesterday and I think it make Firefox more easier.

I’ve tried this trick with Firefox version 2. Some tricks need scroll click (click scroll button button on mouse and if you have two buttons mouse you can’t apply those tricks)
Here are the tricks :

To move from current tab to next tab press Ctrl + Tab key.
To move from current tab to previous tab, press Ctrl + Shift + Tab key.
To move to certain tab number, press Ctrl + [tab's number] (if you Mac user press Command + [tab's number]), for example, if you press Ctrl + 1, first tab will opened, Ctrl + 2, second tab will opened.
Increase font size, press Ctrl + [+] (for Mac user, press Command + [+] key) and to decrease them press Ctrl + [-] (for Mac user, press Command + [-] key)
If you want to type .com URL just type domain name and press Ctrl + Enter (Mac user Command + Enter), for example type google and press Ctrl + Enter then Firefox will add it automatically become google.com.
If you want type .net URL just type the domain name then press Shift + Enter key, for example if you want type google.net, just type google and then press Shift + Enter key.
If you want type .org URL just type the domain name then press Shift + Ctrl + Enter key, for example if you want type google.org, just type google then press Shift + Ctrl +Enter.
Make a new tab, double click on empty space on tab bar.
Close tab: scroll click on tab that want to closed.
Open homepage on new tab, scroll click on homepage button.
Make multiple homepage, open your Firefox preferences (PC User, click Tools -> Options menu then click General tab and for Mac user click Firefox -> Preferences menu then click Main tab) and type your homepage URL in Homepage textbox and separate them with “|” character

if you’re finish it, try it with click Homepage button.
Search something about a word on your page, block the word and right click it choose Search Google for ….
Open bookmark in new tab, scroll click on a bookmark on bookmark toolbar.
Type an URL faster with bookmark entry; Right click the bookmark on bookmark toolbar then choose Properties menu;

type a keyword to calls this bookmark in Keyword box
and then try it with type the keyword, click OK button.

then press Enter key and the URL bookmark will opened.
