Add Eject Menulet On Menu Bar

To eject CD/DVD on Mac product such as Macbook, Macbook Pro, Mac mini and iMac, you need to press Eject key on keyboard, but sometimes our hands are too lazy to touch it if we’re using mouse. Obviously, you can also eject it though Finder, but if Finder is not opening, you need open it first. Just take the way out, add an eject menulet on menu bar. Actually, Apple has provided it inside Mac OS X, but Apple is not activate it by default.

This the way to activate it:

  1. Open your Finder and then pointing to Macintosh HD > System > Library > CoreServices > Menu Extras folder.
    Driving to Menu Extra folder
  2. Find eject.menu file, then double click it.
    Double click eject.menu
  3. And Eject menulet will added onto menu bar automatically.
    Eject menu has added
  4. To eject DVD/CD just click its icon on menu bar and choose your inserted DVD title.

I highly recommend Ejector as an alternative to the Apple Menu Extra. It’s absolutley free and you can find it here:
http://www.jeb.com.fr/en/ejector.shtml

It allows you to eject anything mounted to your computer. This includes CD/DVD, disk images, USB drives, hard drive partitions, etc. In addition, it has an Eject All feature which can come in handy when it’s time to pick up and go with your laptop.

Complimenti per idea del sito. Anche noi siamo amanti del trekking. Perche non organizziamo un incontro di appassionati per delle escursioni insieme? Magari non piu di 6-8 in tutto? Un saluto.
