Add The Manufacture Information


You can to determine the computer manufacture information by look in General tab of System Properties. You can open System Properties window by click Start -> Control Panel -> System icon or you can also right click My Computer icon and then choose Properties menu. Usually, you can find your processor speed and memory size in there. And I want to add it with my own name.


And these are steps to modify it:

  1. Create a new picture or pick your existed picture which has picture size approx. 140 x 140 pixels and if you have a bigger one, just resize it by your picture editor

    and then save it with file name: OEMLOGO.BMP in C:\Windows\System32 folder.
  2. Then create a new text with Notepad application (You can open Notepad by click Start -> Run, enter notepad in box and then press Enter), and enter this script (you can to modify it with yours):

Model=”Sharing computer tips and tricks!”
[Support Information]
Line1=”Visit it everyday to get newest trick.”
Line2=”Don’t forget www.otakatik.com”

  3. Then save it with file name: OEMINFO.INI in C:\Windows\System32 folder.
  4. Restart the computer.
  5. To see the result, right click My Computer and then choose Properties menu.
  6. In General tab you can see the result

    and don’t forget to click Support Information button to see it completely.
