Open Shared Folder Faster

In standard way, if you open My Computer, you’ll get the standard sidebar inside it. And I don’t like it because I want to explore entire my computer drives within it. My wish is the side bar is explorer sidebar that contain folders and drives three. Actually, you can do that with click Folder button on toolbar but I don’t want to click it every time I open My Computer. If you have the same problem with me you can try this solution.

Every time you’re copying an object using Ctrl + C keys or Edit – Copy menu, that object will copy to clipboard first. And if you paste it into your destination document, you object is still in clipboard. And if your object is confidential, the other user can to look your copied object. They are just pressing the Ctrl + V keys or through Edit – Paste menu and your object is exposed.
If you often write with Notepad, you have known that notepad has a blinking cursor to help you knowing the location where you have to start to write. Unfortunately, the cursor has not a wide enough size. It’s so thin because Windows gives it width to one pixel. In many times, I am so hard to finding it. But you can make it be wider.
Windows XP has been giving us a good appearance in almost its appearances, including Search sidebar. On Windows XP’s search facility, you’ll assisted by an animated dog. Sure, it’s an interactive way to guiding us to find a file or folder. Unfortunately, it eats your computer resources. There are so many ways to copy files from a location to another. The common way is using Copy and Paste menu or using Ctrl + C then Ctrl + V combination keys. You can also using drag and drop method. In fact, I want Microsoft put Copy menu on contextual menu every time I right click a file or folder then I just choose the destination location. Unfortunately, Microsoft doesn’t provide it for us. But you ‘hack’ the registry to create Copy To menu for you.
By default, when you’re browsing your bitmap files (*.bmp), you’ll look their default icon. And the icon is the same for all of bitmap files. And that does not be a problem for common users, but if you often to seeking for a bitmap file, that could be a problem because you can’t see its content. Fortunately, you can hack the registry to force system to preview the bitmap file content as its icon.
