Hide My Computer’s Properties menu
If your right click My Computer icon on desktop or Start menu, a usual pop menu will appear. And if you click Properties menu then, System Properties window will shown. And you can change lot computer settings inside there. And this is a danger ‘window’ for a wrong user. The naughty user may destroy computer through it.
So, to make it safer, you can remove Properties menu to block a way to it.
Try to right click My Computer inside Start menu, you can see Properties menu in there.

To remove it, do these steps:
- Open Registry Editor by click Start -> Run menu, enter
regeditin box and then press Enter key.

- Navigate to this registry path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ policies.

- Right click on policies key, click New – > Key menu to create a new key.

- Replace the original value to Explorer name. But if you’ve seen Explorer key in there, you don’t need to create this key.

- Right empty space on right panel, and then click New –> DWORD Value menu.

- Replace the original value with NoPropertiesMyComputer.

- Modify its value to 1 by double click NoPropertiesMyComptuer value, enter value 1 in box and then click OK button.

- And you’ll see this value and its value data like this.

- Close Registry Editor and restart the computer.
- Now your Properties menu has gone.

To show the Properties menu, give it value: 0 or remove NoPropertiesMyComputer menu.
