How To Access Windows Sharing Folder From Mac OS X

If you’re a new Mac OS X user, maybe you confused when you’ll connect to your office network that using Windows Sharing system and want to open the shared folder. It’s maybe a small problem but for the new user maybe it’s their (including me) headache source :) OK, I’ll share how to access Windows sharing folder from your Mac OS X system….
Make sure your destination PC has been set the sharing folder, the mark the shared folder is you’ll see the hand icon in the shared folder.

And how access it from your Mac OS X computer, just follow these:
1. Click Go – Connect to Server on Finder menu.

2. And type smb://destination_computer_name or smb://destination_computer_ip_address on the Server Address input, for example : smb://server-sql or smb://192.168.1.1.

3. You can add the address to your list with click the + button.

4. And it is connecting…

5. If you’re access that folder for the first time you will confirm for the Workgroup name, User name and Password and just fill it with your office Workgroup name and user name/password fill with user name that registered in destination computer (Windows user name).

7. And list folder that shared in the destination computer will show up.

8. Just choose it, and then click OK button.

9. If it is connected, and then you can access it through the Finder.
