Open Shared Folder Faster
Normally, Windows XP takes about 30 seconds to open the list of shared folders on a network. This is caused Windows XP will see the list of computer that is in Schedule Task first. Ideas of this article is it will bypass the process that will make the process see the list of shared folders will be faster.
OK, follow these steps:
- Open Registry Editor, via Start – Run menu and then enter
regeditin box, press Enter key.

- When Registry Editor is open, find registry path :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE | SOFTWARE| Microsoft | Windows | CurrentVersion| Explorer | RemoteComputer | NameSpace | {D6277990-4C6A-11CF-8D87-00AA0060F5BF}


- Delete that key (right click on it, choose Delete menu and then click Yes if you confirmed)

- And you will see the registry as the image below.

- Close Registry Editor and then restart your computer to apply this change.
Note: I suggest that you backup first the registry with you right-click on it and select the menu: Export and then enter the backup file name.
