
Is your Windows XP often gets some troubles? If the answer is yes, maybe you’ll need this tool that provides by Microsoft. This tool will help you to troubleshoot your startup program on your Windows XP.
This tool calls System Configuration Utility. And this article is trying to explain how to work with System Configuration.
1. Click Start -> Run menu, type msconfig in box then press Enter key.

2. System Configuration Utility is opened, System Configuration Utility has six tabs that mean you got six tools that will help you.

3. First tab is General, in this tab you can set which setting that will you call at Windows startup, if you choose
a. Normal startup, all drivers will load.
b. Diagnostic Startup, basic driver will loaded.
c. Selective Startup, you can choose which startup section will execute when Windows startup with check or uncheck it.
4. SYSTEM.INI tab, this file can found at C:\Windows but you can edit it directly from here.

5. WIN.INI tab, this file can found at C:\Windows but you can edit it directly from here.

6. BOOT.INI tab, you can set all process of Windows booting from here and also its parameters.

7. Services tab, you can show all Windows Services here, if you unchecked one of them it means you bypass it from Windows startup. By default you will see all Windows Services here

but if you want only look non Windows Services you can check Hide all Microsoft Services.

8. Startup tab, in this tab you can choose which program that will you load at startup, check it means you load it and otherwise if you unchecked it.

9. Click OK when you’re finishing to setting it all and Windows will confirm to restart computer, if you’re click OK button, all new settings will affect after reboot.
