If you want to write your files to an empty CD on Windows XP you don’t need the 3rd party software to do it. Just use the built in Windows XP software to do that. This is the tutorial how does to do it.<span id="more-83"></span></p>
<p>OK, don’t forget to insert your empty CD to your CD writer first.</p>
<p>1. Choose you files which will to write and right click the file or folder then go to <strong>Send to</strong> -&gt; <strong>CD Drive</strong> menu.</p>
<p><img title="Send To CD Drive" src="http://www.otakatik.com/wp-content/uploads/tiptrick101/0102/send_to_cd_1.jpg" alt="Send To CD Drive" /></p>
<p>2. And repeat step 1 until all your files has sent to CD and remember, don’t exceed the CD capacity.</p>
<p>3. Then click the CD writer icon in Explorer and your files will be there.</p>
<p><img title="Looking Sent Files" src="http://www.otakatik.com/wp-content/uploads/tiptrick101/0102/click_cd_2.jpg" alt="Looking Sent Files" /></p>
<p>4. Don’t forget to look the CD Writer setting first by right click on empty space in CD content then choose <strong>Properties</strong> menu.</p>
<p><img title="Properties menu" src="http://www.otakatik.com/wp-content/uploads/tiptrick101/0102/right_click_3.jpg" alt="Properties menu" /></p>
<p>5. After Properties has opened, click <strong>Recording</strong> tab then choose the CD writer speed (lower speed will give better result and I suggest to choose 4-8x speed to make good result), click <strong>OK</strong> to close Properties dialog.</p>
<p><img title="Set burning speed" src="http://www.otakatik.com/wp-content/uploads/tiptrick101/0102/prop_menu_4.jpg" alt="Set burning speed" /></p>
<p>6. To write CD go to <strong>File</strong> -&gt; <strong>Write these files to CD</strong> menu.</p>
<p><img title="Write to CD menu" src="http://www.otakatik.com/wp-content/uploads/tiptrick101/0102/write_cd_5.jpg" alt="Write to CD menu" /></p>
<p>7. Give CD label name, click <strong>Next</strong> button.</p>
<p><img title="Type CD label" src="http://www.otakatik.com/wp-content/uploads/tiptrick101/0102/give_name_6.jpg" alt="Give CD label" /></p>
<p>8. And just wait it to burn your CD.</p>
<p><em>note:</em></p>
<p>Windows XP will give you an unwritten files notification if you don’t writer them yet.</p>
<p><img title="Unwritten CD notification" src="http://www.otakatik.com/wp-content/uploads/tiptrick101/0102/notification_7.jpg" alt="Unwritten CD notification" /></p>
