Since Windows XP brings long file name format, it has helped its users because folder/file name is clearer to read and represents its content. But one of its weaknesses is when we type its path manually. But I have a trick that can help you to type a document name within its path in Run dialog.<span id="more-81"></span></p>
<p>1. Open Run menu and your folder which contains your document file and then tile those both windows.</p>
<p><img title="Tile your windows" src="http://www.otakatik.com/wp-content/uploads/tiptricks/0034/picture-1.jpg" alt="Tile your windows" /></p>
<p>2. Click you file and then drag it onto textbox on Run dialog and you’ll get your path of document in a second.</p>
<p><img title="Drag your file" src="http://www.otakatik.com/wp-content/uploads/tiptricks/0034/picture-2.jpg" alt="Drag your file" /></p>
<p>3. If you want to open your document with your favorite application, just follow the same way with step no 1 and 2 but before you click and drag your file onto textbox, type your <code>.exe</code> application first such as notepad</p>
<p><img title="Type application .exe name" src="http://www.otakatik.com/wp-content/uploads/tiptricks/0034/picture-3.jpg" alt="type application .exe name" /></p>
<p>Then click and drag your file onto textbox and you just press <strong>Enter </strong>key to execute it.</p>
<p><img title="Drag the file" src="http://www.otakatik.com/wp-content/uploads/tiptricks/0034/picture-4.jpg" alt="Drag the file" /></p>
<p>Note: To insert your complete path, just block it and then right click it and choose <strong>Copy</strong> menu (or press <strong>Ctrl + C</strong> keys together) then paste it into your document.</p>
<p><img title="Copy path" src="http://www.otakatik.com/wp-content/uploads/tiptricks/0034/picture-5.jpg" alt="Copy path" /></p>
