It calls IExpress. It has bundled in Windows XP CD installation; it means you can get it by free. I have been discussing it in <a href="http://www.otakatik.com/6-great-hidden-applications-inside-windows-xp/">this article</a>. And in this article, I’ll write about how to using it steps by step. <span id="more-131"></span></p>
<p>With IExpress you can create an executable package that contains you files. The result from <strong>IExpress</strong> is .exe file, so, you can extract it just by double click it. Beside it’s a good packager, it also an easy to use application. And here are steps to using it:</p>
<ol>
<li>Open IExpress by click <strong>Start </strong>-&gt; <strong>Run</strong> menu, enter <code>iexpress</code> in box and then press <strong>Enter</strong> key.<br />

<li>In first wizard step, leave <strong>Create new Self Extraction Directive file</strong> is chosen to create a new packager and then click <strong>Next</strong> button.<br />

<li>Because I just want to create a packager without an installation process, I chosen <strong>Extract files only</strong> option and then click <strong>Next</strong> button.<br />

<li>On this step, give your package file a title and then click <strong>Next</strong> button.<br />

<li>On <strong>Confirmation Prompt</strong> step, I choose <strong>No Prompt</strong> and then click <strong>Next</strong> button.<br />

<li>On License agreement step, choose <strong>Do not display a license </strong>since my package is contains my private files only and then click Next button.<br />

<li>In <strong>Packaged files</strong> screen, you can add your files in this step.<br />

<li>Click <strong>Add</strong> button to browse to your file<br />

and click <strong>Remove</strong> button if you want remove the chosen file and then click <strong>Next</strong> button after your review your packaged files.<br />

<li>In <strong>Show window</strong>, click <strong>Default </strong>option and then click <strong>Next</strong> button.<br />

<li>I suggest filling its display message so that if your files are finished to extracted, you’ll be warn and then click <strong>Next</strong> button.<br />

<li>Then save it’s as a packager file, just give its file name in <strong>Save As</strong> dialog and then click <strong>Save </strong>button.<br />

<li>In <strong>Package Name and Options</strong> step, make sure that Store files using Long File Name inside Package option is chosen and then click <strong>Next</strong> button.<br />

<li>If you create a package for a time using only, you don’t need your packager information so choose <strong>Don’t save</strong> option in<strong> Save Self Extraction Directive</strong> step and then click <strong>Next</strong> button.<br />

<li>In <strong>Create package</strong> step, click <strong>Next</strong> to start create your package file.<br />

<li>Then a MS-DOS window will pop-up and shows its progress and wait it until it finish.<br />

<li>On other side, your IExpress wizard is showing its status also.<br />

<li>After the create progress is done, you’ll get a summary, just click <strong>Finish</strong> button to close the wizard window.<br />

<p>How to extract it?</p>
<ol>
<li> Find your package file and then double click it.<br />

<li>Type your destination folder by type it manually or through click <strong>Browse</strong> button and then click <strong>OK</strong> button.<br />

<li>If your destination folder does not exist, it can create the folder automatically.<br />

<li>Then extraction progress is start.<br />

<li>After it is done, you’ll get the message that you set before.<br />
