On Windows XP, Run menu is installed by default but there is not in Windows Vista. Windows Vista is hiding it on standard setting. You must set it manually. And here is the way to display it.
Try to click Windows/Start button on new installed Windows Vista, you won’t see the Run menu there.

1. Actually, you can see Run menu on Accessories folder inside Start menu.

2. To show Run menu you have to set it in Taskbar properties. The shortcut is right click taskbar and then click Properties menu.

3. Click Start Menu tab, click Customize button which beside Start Menu option.

4. In Customize menu, check the Run command radio box and then click OK button.

5. Now, try to click Start/Windows button, your Run menu is already there.
